Golden Steer Steakhouse | Las Vegas Since 1958
The oldest steakhouse in Las Vegas, on Sahara Avenue since 1958. Tableside Caesar, a 24 oz bone-in rib eye, and the Rat Pack corner booth.
The Golden Steer opened in 1958 as a frontier-themed steakhouse, its walls hung with rifles belonging to cowboys and regulars. By 1965 it had become the room where lounge acts, movie stars and Sands headliners ate after their sets, and the Rat Pack took the corner booth that still carries their name. In the 1980s Tony Spilotro and other figures from that era were regulars; scenes later dramatized in Casino happened in these rooms. Dr. Michael Signorelli acquired the restaurant in 2001 with the stated aim of keeping it intact, and the 2020 shutdown was its first closure in 65 years. It expanded next door in November 2023, its first growth since the 1970s.
