Las Vegas Italian since 1982, off the Strip on Convention Center Drive: osso buco in copper, the Tarkanian room, and the monkey bar lounge.
Freddie Glusman opened Piero's on Karen Avenue near downtown Las Vegas in March 1982 with 88 seats. Demand outgrew the space in five years, so he bought land on Convention Center Drive and moved the restaurant there in 1987, where it still sits between the Strip and Paradise Road. Martin Scorsese used it as a location for Casino in 1995, and the walls carry the accumulated evidence of the decades since, including lithographs by Aldo Luongo and Jose Bellver and a room dedicated to UNLV coach Jerry Tarkanian. In May 2025 Steve Siegel, a family friend and the operator behind Siegel's Bagelmania across the street, took over running the restaurant. Glusman still owns the land.
Dinner only from 5, in rooms nobody has dragged into the present tense. Ask for the Tarkanian room, and have a drink first in the monkey bar lounge, under the bronze chimpanzee and next to the piano.
